Once the END OF THE WORLD AND SURROUNDINGS circuit has been completed, we have the option of continuing to venture deep into the Isla Grande of Tierra del Fuego, in order to fully know the areas of Argentina and Chile.

 

CABO SAN PABLO

Once TOLHUIN is crossed the first option is Cabo San Pablo. A lighthouse on a solitary cape, a mysterious ship stranded 40 years ago and a distinguished old ranch, are some of the icons that will reveal the unknown stories of Tierra del Fuego. Are you ready?

 

RIO GRANDE Y MISION SALESIANA

Then we continue driving to the north of the island of Argentina, where we will cross the city of Rio Grande; which is the largest of the Argentine cities on the island, with the main industrial income and the mystical Salesian Mission with all its history and culture.

 

PASO FROTERIZO SAN SEBASTIAN

San Sebastián is a border crossing between the Argentine and Chilean Republic, where there are an office of National Customs Administration and dependencies of Argentine National Gendarmerie. There is also a small population settlement, with accommodation and restaurant service belonging to the Automovil Club Argentino.

 

Porvenir

Porvenir is a city in southern Chile, located in the Province of Tierra del Fuego and the most populated of the Chilean portion with 7,446 habitants.

 

The southern region of the province has several lakes and rivers suitable for fishing.

 

The tourist points to visit are: the king penguin colony National Park, located 114 kilometers from the city, the Magellanic penguin colony located in the town of Puerto Yartou, the mythical Darwin Mountain Range and 199 kilometers from the City, Karukinka Park.

 

PARQUE NACIONAL KARUKINKA

Karukinka Park ("our land" in the language of the Selk'nam) was created in 2004 to protect the rich biodiversity of the area. Wild landscapes; from the Fuegian steppe to the mountains of the pre-Darwin mountain range, through subantarctic forests, lakes and valleys. The Guanacos that cross its valleys and forests, and a great diversity of birds are its inhabitants. A few days where you will have the honor of sharing their home with them.
